Mark Turpin has been involved with the Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra as an oboe player since 1986 and as Conductor since 2000.

Camillio Manricks – Principal Cello

Camillio’s music education began in Ceylon (Sri-Lanka) before going on to The Peabody Conservatorium in Baltimore & Hartt College in Hartford, Connecticut to further his cello studies with Mr Paul Olefsky. Ben Rankin – Cellist

Member of Toowoomba State High String Orchestra which lead to performances on the Opera House Stage and at Angel Place in Sydney during the Australian International Music Festival in 2008. Also a member of Toowoomba Concert Orchestra for four years


Heather Skidmore – Percussion

I just completed Bachelor of Science (Ecology and Conservation Biology) Griffith University and currently looking for employment in this field.

Various chamber groups, duets and trios ranging from wedding gigs, corporate functions, as well as amateur theatre groups and Education Qld Symphony.


Anne Rowe – Bassoon

GCPO? I first played in about 1990 – back when Mark played oboe. I have had several breaks- moved state in 2006 etc, but have been playing regularly since 2007.
