Presenting Our Conductor for 2018 – Lachlan Snow

After a lengthy selection process, we are delighted to announce that our Conductor for 2018 will be Lachlan Snow. By day, Lachlan is Queensland State Manager for Musica Viva Australia, overseeing and supporting the delivery of its education and concerts programs in Queensland. By night, Lachlan conducts six community ensembles: the Amadeus Orchestra, Queensland University of Technology Music Society string and chamber orchestras, Southern Cross Voices and the Brisbane Club Chorale.

As a music director and conductor, Lachlan believes in bringing music to life for both musicians and the audiences. He presents pre-concert talks for the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and a monthly programme on 4MBS Classic FM, as well as emcees all the concerts he conducts. Lachlan holds Dual Bachelors of Music (first class honours) and Arts (French), as well as a Postgraduate Diploma of Education (Secondary Music and French) from the University of Queensland.

Welcome aboard, Lachlan! Please stay tuned for the imminent announcement of our 2018 concert dates, and your opportunity to see Lachlan wield the baton.
