Especially for the children, families and orchestral music lovers!
The Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra’s Teddy Bears Picnic concert is a great opportunity to share your passion and love of music with the next generation, so get your kids, grandkids and teddy bears and join us in the family event, the Teddy Bears Picnic concert.
Conductor, Mark Turpin has developed a program of repertoire that is loved by all and will become favourites with the children. The children will also be involved and choirs from both Helensvale State School and Oxenford State School will be learning the Teddy Bears Picnic song to sing with the orchestra during the Teddy Bears Parade.
There will also be opportunities for selected children to play with the orchestra, clap along, learn about the instruments, hear a story with the music performed live by the orchestra and a there will be a prize for the best teddy.
The raffle, which will be drawn towards the end of the concert, will have three draws and the prizes are worth hundreds of dollars. You could win a beautiful hand made quilt, a family pass to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary or a hand made teddy and picnic hamper.
During interval guests will have the chance to chat to the musicians while enjoying complimentary refreshments and children will be able to receive a personalised certificate celebrating their attendance at the orchestral concert.
