Fine Art Friends have united again for their 4th annual exhibition at the Robina Art Gallery. The Exhibition will run from 27th. November until December 10th. and the official opening night is on Thursday 29th. November from 5 to 7pm. Palm Beach artists Di and Greg Malimonenko, stalwart organisers of the exhibition, are showing works in oil, acrylic and watercolour, as well as Greg’s unusual paper collages.
Award winning artist Sylvia Amerstorfer, well known for her beautiful flower studies, is showing works in both acrylic and watercolour. John Thiessen and Janette Cope, neither of whom need any introduction to Gold Coast followers of art, have traditional work in both oil and acrylic and as well, Janette has her highly technical scraperboard studies. Elaine Croker is another artist who will be exhibiting work in this unusual medium and Elaine also paints in oil and acrylic.
A new member joining the group this year is Pat Garde. Pat has been a painter of miniatures for many years. Gill Adcock is rejoining the group this year and she is using a method of combining photographs with acrylic painting.
This exhibition is an eclectic mix of styles and mediums from a group of well established Gold Coast artists. We hope you will visit us.
As an added incentive, there will be complimentary wine and cheese served in the art gallery with the art, artists, conductor and guest soloists from 6.30 pm for Friends of the Philharmonic that book for the Saturday evening Star Bright concert .
