Jeanette Manricks

Jeanette retired from the Queensland Symphony Orchestra in 2007 having enjoyed the privilege of being principal piccolo for 35 years of music making, meeting and becoming lifelong friends with many wonderful musicians. During this time she also taught at the University of Queensland, the Queensland Conservatorium, was President of both the Queensland Flute Guild and Australian Flute Association and director of the National Flute Convention in 1986, and an examiner for the AMEB.

She is very grateful to have had the opportunities to work and play with world renowned flute players such as Sir James Galway, William Bennett, Michel Debost and Alain Marion as well as all the great Australian flautists.

Now she is enjoying living on the Gold Coast, making new friends and loving the time she has to spend with Cam, 3 sons and daughters-in-law and 6 gorgeous grand children.
