Where were you born?
Southport Hospital, Gold Coast.

Who was your most influential person in terms of your music career?
It depends on what area of Music. I would probably most say John Williams, but I have other influential people that have helped shape my musical career, like Peter Francis, Bill Buchanan. My most inspirational musician is the drummer from my favourite band “Dave Matthews Band” – Cater Beauford.

Do you play any other instruments?
There is enough percussion instruments to fill 2 houses in my collection…… But I do own a Trumpet, Trombone, Clarinet and slowly teaching myself.

What is your occupation?
Instrument Music Teacher

What other ensembles have you played in or been a part of?
Gold Coast Youth Orchestra (Youth Symphony, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band. Percussion Ensemble, and Big Band) 1996-2005/6, Queensland Youth Orchestra Wind Symphony (2003-2006), Queensland Wind Orchestra (2005 – current member)

What are some of your other interests outside of the orchestra?
I have many interests, however most of them are music related. I enjoy watching movies, especially Science Fiction. Playing computer games and listening to music.

What is your favourite part about playing in the GCPO?
Probably the people. I enjoy having fun each week playing with a group of friendly musicians.

How long have you been playing in the GCPO?
I have been involved with the Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra since at least 2006.

What is your favourite style of music?
I would have to say orchestral, especially movie soundtracks, and Funk.

What has been you favourite work performed with the orchestra?
I really don’t have a favourite piece but I really enjoy playing music composed by John Willams and Holst.
